It's seperate because there are SO many Sonic games, I'd probably have
to give them their own section if I wanted to put them in the regular games page. But more importantly, it's because I've never actually played a Sonic game. I really want to, but I've only ever played the mobile runner games... Until I can play the other games, I'm going to just keep them here. My plan is just to watch playthroughs of the games on YouTube. I mean, I've played a bit of Sonic the Hedgehog (the classic one) but that's about it.
Basically, this entire page is going to be me giving my opinion on games once I've watched the playthroughs of them.
Right now, the game I want to play the most is Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic X Shadow Generations.
It's a fun little game, I don't think it has any actual story to it
other than fighting Eggman as a boss and collecting the Chaos Emeralds in that weird world. It feels a lot more simple because it's basically a 2d runner game. I played this briefly on an old Sega console, but I couldn't get past Green Hill...
Okay, so apparently this game is like... an April Fools thing?? This was so
fire, I genuinely have nothing negative to say about it. Well, I mean, maybe the evidence collecting/interrogating was a bit long, but that's the point of the game, and it wouldn't feel that way if I had actually played it. Regardless, it was fun. In the specific playthrough I watched, there were a few dialogue options that I would've liked to see the reaction to, so I did miss out a little bit. I think my favorite part was when Rouge and Blaze were stealing the expensive Chao Egg, and it started ticking. There were so many options, and it really showed the POV character's panic. In general, I love the storyline of this. Shadow trying to get Amy tickets, Espio being told by "staff" to shoot Sonic with a non-lethal poison dart for his murder... When I first heard of this game, I thought Sonic actually died in the game, and that it was a somewhat serious investigation. Then I heard that it was a murder mystery game for Amy's birthday party, and realized that no, Sonic wasn't actually going to die. Then, when they found Sonic's body, he was saying weird things and being unresponsive, which was a bit of a scare. Basically, I went from "sonic's dead" to "sonic's not dead" to "is sonic dead or not??" and the rest of the game was just me waiting to see which one it was. The dialogue was really fun, and I have to admit that the POV character had some funny moments (and some embarrassing). I also loved the Sonic mini-game for when you had to think, and how it took over at the end when they were fighting the train. Overall, it was a great game to watch, and I bet it would be an even greater game to play.
