SONIC X!!!!!

What is Sonic X......

Sonic X is an anime, released in 2003 that follows Sonic the Hedgehog, but also Chris

Thorndyke. I believe he's a character unique to Sonic X, besides a few cameos. Chris is the character that makes this show interesting. Although his dynamic with Sonic and friends was kind of used in the new movies (Tom), it's still unique because Chris is a child. The entire show is a mix of fun times at home and extremely dangerous adventures...

Where can I watch Sonic X?

Pretty much everywhere. This is not a difficult anime to find. You can watch it on Amazon Prime, Tubi, Hulu, Netflix, and you can also find it on YouTube...

Opinions...

I think the entire show is a little bland, but it's meant for children. There are definitely some parts of the story that are more interesting than others...

That aside, my biggest opinion regarding Sonic X has to do with Dark Sonic. He appears at an episode that I'll edit later once I'm sure of it, and he immediately goes back to normal after Eggman confronts him about it. I understand that, in that situation, him attacking that Metarex in dark form wouldn't be effective. His main priority was to save his friends, and prevent them from getting hurt, rather than focus on getting revenge on the Metarex for hurting them. HOWEVER, I think they should've let him fight a little. I haven't consumed a lot of Sonic content, so for me, this is the only time I've ever seen Dark Sonic. Obviously, my first reaction was to go on YouTube and find whatever fan content I could to make up for how little screentime he got. And I was met with some of the cringiest things I've ever seen in my life. I had built up a perspective on Dark Sonic's character, and then it shattered. I really do think that Dark Sonic has a lot of potential, if only SEGA would show him more often, so we, as a fanbase, could get a better grasp of his character. I think the reason that Dark Sonic is seen as cringey to begin with is because it was left up to the community to flesh out his character. I don't know why Dark Sonic is portrayed as this bloodthirsty murderer. Dark Sonic still has similar goals to regular Sonic, they are the same person after all. It's just that Dark Sonic is filled with anger, and more negative emotions. Yes, Dark Sonic would probably be willing to kill, definitely a lot more than regular Sonic, but he wouldn't actively want to do so. I also think that he wouldn't talk a lot, at least not in the way that normal Sonic does. When normal Sonic is fighting, he throws around jokes and puns. He likes to have a fun fight, but Dark Sonic isn't really interested in that. He'd be more focused on the fight itself, and his own emotions.

That was a long ramble, basically I just wish that Sonic X had more emotion to it in general, and that we were robbed of this one moment. Not only that, but it led to some pretty bad mischaracterization.

I think that Chris stopping Sonic from going home was a great part of the show. It was a little embarrassing to see him acting so immaturely, but then it reminds you that he's only 12 years old. The fact that Sonic ran away with him also shows that Sonic not only appreciates Chris as a friend, but he's also loyal to him in a way. If Chris didn't want him to go home, he wouldn't. Of course, it's hugely unfair to Sonic, and Chris realizes that, which is why Sonic goes home at all. Yes, it was unfair and embarrassing, but it showed that they were good friends, and it was a necessary part of the show.

I don't know how to feel about Chris after the timeskip. His new voice was awesome, and so was his new look. I'm honestly impressed that he managed to stay friends with the same two people after such a long time, and that he didn't appear to make any new friends... but I understand why putting a new character along with their older versions might cause some confusion. I'm not going to complain about that. Here's what I am going to complain about (wow such shock im complaining again), why in the actual hell does Chris revert back to a twelve year old? Even if there's a time difference, that shouldn't cause his body to literally change it's own DNA?? I say that instead of reverting because he keeps all of his knowledge, which is important because he helps Tails with technical aspects of the Blue Typhoon... But still?? I think it would've been awesome to see Sonic and friends' reaction to Chris being older. I guess, while his personality and intelligence changed, I wish it could've actually LOOKED like there was a change before and after the timeskip. I think they made him a twelve year old because they didn't want him to be able to fight well. He mentions that he took some sort of martial arts class, but because he's in the body of his twelve year old self, those skills aren't very useful (because he's physically weak). Even if he didn't learn those skills, he probably would've been a lot stronger at 18 years old than he would at 12, and more helpful in combat. Basically they nerfed him... (in terms of combat)
